1. Tickets and Passes

1.1. Persons not in possession of a current valid ticket or pass will not be permitted to enter the airshow site.

1.2. No refund or exchange will be made if tickets or passes are not used either in full or in part.

2. Car Parks

2.1. Airshow car parks are exclusively for the use of Event patrons.

2.2. All persons entering car parks must be in possession of, or immediately acquire, current valid admission tickets or passes to the Event.

2.3. No person may remain in a car park without being in possession of a current valid admission ticket or pass to the Event.

3. Prohibited Items

3.1. Persons, vehicles, aircraft and containers are not permitted to enter the Event site (or carparks) with any prohibited item.

Prohibited items include:-

  • Flammable materials and substances, explosives, pyrotechnics, weapons (including replica and toy firearms), projectiles and similar devices;
  • Placards, flags, banners, signs, brochures and leaflets;
  • Megaphones, amplifiers, loud speakers, lights and lasers;
  • Paints, chemicals, spray cans, painting apparatus and equipment;
  • Bicycles, scooters, golf carts and items of personal conveyance (other than wheelchairs for use by disabled persons);
  • Stoves, barbecues and cooking equipment;
  • Tents, structures, shelters and elevated seating;
  • Shade and/or beach umbrellas which, in the opinion of the Organisers, have or may have the potential to cause damage, injury, hazard, danger, disruption, public nuisance, offence, distress, public inconvenience or security risk.

3.2. All unlawful substances are prohibited items.

3.3. Alcohol may not be brought onto the airshow site.

3.4. Animals and birds will not be admitted to the airshow site or car parks except guide dogs and assistance dogs being used by blind, deaf or otherwise disabled persons.

3.5. All persons entering this site may be subject to personal or property checks and inspections.

4. Identification Requirements

4.1. All persons admitted to the Event site or carparks must produce on demand to the Organisers, their officials or security personnel, personal identification (such as current drivers licence, proof of age card, service identification, passport etc.).

5. Right to Refuse Entry and to Remove

5.1. The Organisers may, in their absolute discretion, refuse entry to the Event site or carparks to any person, vehicle, aircraft or container.

5.2. The Organisers may, in their absolute discretion, require any person, vehicle, aircraft or container to leave the Event site or carparks.

5.3. Any person failing to comply with a direction on behalf of the Organisers to leave the Event site or carparks may be physically removed by the Organisers, their officials or security personnel.

5.4. Any vehicle, aircraft or container not removed from the Event site (or carparks) in accordance with a direction on behalf of the Organisers may be physically removed by the Organisers, their officials or security personnel.

6. Release of Liability

6.1. All persons admitted to the airshow site or car parks are advised that airshows include elements of danger and risk of injury. The approvals required by the applicable authorities have been obtained for the staging of the Air Show and such precautions as are reasonably appropriate will be taken to minimise risk to those in attendance. It is a condition of entry that all persons attending the event do so accepting that all risks cannot be eliminated.

6.2. The Organisers do not accept responsibility for any negligent acts or omissions by performers, display participants, spectators, visitors, exhibitors, caterers, contractors, suppliers or persons other than the Organisers, their officials, staff or agents.

7. Alteration to Program etc.

7.1. Program, display and exhibition content, duration and timing may be subject to alteration without notice.

7.2. The right is reserved to vary, add, withdraw or substitute performances, exhibits and displays and/or to vary advertised programs, seating arrangements and facilities at any time and without notice.

8. Cancellation, Abandonment and Postponement

8.1. If the event, any part of the event or any performance, display, exhibit or other element of the event is cancelled, abandoned or postponed, in whole or in part, due to adverse weather or for any other cause reasonably beyond the organisers’ control, there is no right to refund or exchange and no obligation on the organisers to arrange any substitute event, performance, display, exhibit or element.

9. Ticket Refund or Exchange

9.1. We provide refunds if you are unable to Attend the Booking due to any of the listed reasons and have provided the required evidence shown in the individual reasons section below, subject always to the General Conditions of Refund.

  • Illness / Injury (including Covid-19)
  • Pre-existing Medical Condition
  • Pregnancy Complication
  • Death of Immediate Family
  • Public Transport Failure
  • Flight disruption
  • Mechanical Breakdown
  • Adverse Weather
  • Home Emergency
  • Theft of Documents
  • Jury Service
  • Court Summons
  • Armed Forces & Emergency Services Recall
  • Relocated for Work
  • Changes to Examination Dates

We may also consider other Emergency Circumstances at our absolute discretion and You will need to provide evidence for these circumstances. You must read the General Conditions of Refund, for full information on what we will and will not refund for each reason.

9.2. General Conditions of Refund

  • 9.2.1. We do not refund if there is for any reason associated with a Communicable Disease (including Covid-19) pandemic or epidemic, except for those reasons listed in the Covid-19 section of these terms.
  • 9.2.2. Any reason for refund must not have existed been known or reasonably foreseeable at the time You made the Booking.
  • 9.2.3. We do not refund if Your Booking is no longer wanted or needed, or your tickets are purchased in error.
  • 9.2.4. We will not pay a refund if you fail to meet the event entry conditions.
  • 9.2.5. You must make all arrangements to arrive in time to Attend the Booking, including arranging any necessary permits, travel documents or visas.
  • 9.2.6. You must take all reasonable precautions or make reasonable alternate arrangements to prevent or reduce any refund request.
  • 9.2.7. You will be asked to provide supporting evidence at Your own expense, and a copy of the Booking confirmation; We do not issue refunds where You cannot provide sufficient supporting evidence.
  • 9.2.8. You will be asked to provide Your bank account details so that we can make the refund payment directly to Your chosen bank account.
  • 9.2.9. Maximum refund value per person will not exceed the total value of their share of the Booking.

9.3. COVID-19 Refunds and Exchanges

9.3.1. We may refund where You are unable to Attend Your Booking because of one of the following reasons associated with Covid-19:

  1. You, or someone within your Immediate Household, become infected with Covid-19 within the 10 days immediately prior to Attending Your Booking, meaning you have to isolate or shield; supported by evidence of a positive PCR test result.
  2. The hospitalization, or death, of Your Immediate Family Member due to Covid-19, within the 28 days immediately prior to Attending Your Booking; supported by a medical / death certificate.
  3. A significant change in your pre-existing medical condition in the 14 days immediately prior to Attending Your Booking results in a Doctor recommending you do not Attend due to the risk of exposure to Covid-19.

9.3.2. Refunds are not issued where You do not Attend because You are worried about catching Covid-19 or You are isolating without a positive Covid-19 test in Your household, or where Your travel plans are affected by Covid-19 restrictions. To read more about Covid-19 please visit our dedicated page here.

9.3.3. We do not refund for any travel restriction associated with Covid-19, or fear of travelling.

9.3.4. We cannot refund you if you choose not to abide by Wings Over Illawarra’s COVID-19 specific conditions of entry, or NSW Health Public Health Orders and restrictions.

9.4. These reasons for refund are considered on an entirely discretionary basis and are not to be taken as a guarantee of refund.

10. Concessions

10.1 Ticket concessions are available for general admission Pension Card holders only. The Pension Card must ​be shown at the gate upon entry to the event.

11. Companion Card

11.1 Companion Card holders are eligible for a free general admission ticket (ie. excludes Gold Pass tickets) when a ticket for their companion has been purchased. The free ticket can only be obtained at the Customer Service window of the ticket office located at the entry gate to the airshow. The purchased ticket and the Companion Card must be shown to receive the free ticket.

12. Recording or Images etc of Attendees

12.1. Attendees at the Event or in the car parks acknowledge that the Organisers and third parties authorised by the Organisers may make, create, store, record, transmit, reproduce or use recordings and images or any of them of, at or in relation to the Event (including, without limitation, of attendees). Unless the attendee otherwise reaches an agreement with the Organisers, each attendee hereby grants the Organiser and third parties authorised by them permission to use recordings and/or images, or other images or likenesses of the attendee, in any media and for any purpose without identification or compensation or payment of any kind.

12.2. Unless the attendee otherwise reaches an agreement with the Organiser to the contrary, the attendee consents to the Organiser (and third parties authorised by the Organiser) taking photographs, film, tape and other images or likenesses of the attendee, or any sound recording, and using them as hereinbefore described.

13. Privacy

13.1. The Organisers collect personal information about attendees at the Event which is necessary for them to operate the event and to help promote the event and subsequent or related or similar events. In particular, the Organiser may collect the name, address and phone number of attendees for the purposes of coordinating the seating and/or viewing arrangements at the Event and of conducting research, marketing and promotional activities in relation to the Event and such other subsequent events.

13.2. Attendees hereby consent to the use and disclosure of their personal information by the Organisers to research, marketing and promotional organisations for the purposes set out in the first paragraph of this condition unless the attendee otherwise notifies the Organisers by contacting the Event Coordinator as described below.

13.3. Unless attendees advise otherwise, attendees consent to receiving future promotional and marketing material from the Organisers, including via electronic messages (e.g. email, SMS etc), and telephoning attendees for an indefinite period.

14. Organisers

14.1. Wings Over Illawarra (the Event) is staged, conducted and presented by Bright Events Pty Ltd (ABN: 60 501 659 522).

14.2. In these conditions, the term “Organisers” means Bright Events Pty Ltd

15. COVID-19 specific conditions of entry

15.1. You acknowledge that the event may be scheduled to be held, or will be held, during a time at which one or more Government directions or regulations may be in force regarding the number of persons attending an event (or the holding of the event itself). If that is the case, then the number of persons permitted to be in or around the Venue may be affected, resulting in the Seller being required to or deciding to:

  1. cancel or postpone the event;
  2. reduce the number of persons who may attend the event;
  3. change your seating allocation; and/or
  4. change any standing or seating configurations for attendance at the event;

in which case You may receive a refund in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Sale, or the COVID-19 Refunds and Exchanges Terms and Conditions, as the case may be.

15.2. You agree to comply with all Government directions, orders and regulations relevant to attending live events, which may be in place at the time of the event.

15.3. If you are attending the event as part of a group, as the primary ticket purchaser, you are responsible for knowing the contact details of all attendees in your group. In the event you are contacted directly by the Government, including the Department of Health for the purposes of contact tracing, you must: (a) make the contact details of your group available to the Government (if you have the consent of each group member to do so); or (b) contact each member of your group, and request that they provide their contact details to the Government directly.

15.4. All attendees in your group, including yourself, must commit to stopping the spread of COVID-19. If at the time of the event, either you, or any other members of your group are feeling unwell or are subject to a self-quarantine or self-isolation period, you agree not to attend the event. If you do attend the event, you agree to assume all risk associated with COVID-19
